Partner of Youth
Ensure a Brighter Future
Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve on our communities health and well-being, and give back and support neighbors.
At the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away due to the lack of financial resources. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
The YMCA Partner of Youth Scholarship Program provides the financial assistance necessary for youth, adults and families in your community to participate in programs and services at the Y.
When we come together to support our neighbors in their time of need, we help make our community stronger. Every year the Altru Family YMCA provides financial scholarship assistance to thousands of youth, adults and families in the Greater Grand Forks area.
PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP
A program scholarship provides access to swim lessons, youth and adult sports, day camp, special offerings such as Parkinson Wellness Recovery, and much more.
CHILD CARE SCHOLARSHIP
Child care assistance through the YMCA Educational Center provides access to a safe, structured environment for children to grow and develop important social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. The center offers preschool, after school, and infant/toddler care under the supervision of trained, dedicated and caring adult role models.
MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
A general membership scholarship allows individuals and families to participate in group classes/programs and utilize the gymnasiums, racquetball courts, swimming pool, fitness center, walking/running track, Kids Cove indoor playground, and other areas.
Your support allows a child to experience nature, gain confidence and develop lasting friendships at camp or attend a safe and quality after school learning environment full of activities and opportunities to discover their full potential, while their parents can remain gainfully employed and/or attend college courses.
You can help give an adult the opportunity to rebuild his or her life after a traumatic loss, event or injury.
You are the difference between a child experiencing a near drowning or drowning incident, by teaching them the life saving skill of swimming, and how to be safe in and around the water.
You can be the person who helps another individual or family find a healthy balance while struggling to stay afloat financially.
You are connecting youth with positive adult role models, in our mentoring program, or keeping them active, engaged and productive in our youth sports and youth fitness programs.
